You can thank the wonderful contributors over at the Carmageddon: Reincarnation Kickstarter page for not only bringing back to life one of the 90's craziest car-racing-come-bloodsport titles, but also helping to fund the iOS release we have today.
Personally I'm having a hard time pulling off the rose-tinted glasses, what with having spent an ungodly amount of time enjoying the game by myself and with friends via multiplayer. If anything, it's a good indicator that gamers from the 90s will definitely want to grab a copy.
