Angry Birds Space, Rovio's first proper follow-up to the App Store phenomenon that is Angry Birds, is out now. The iPhone version is currently priced at 99c.

Retaining the bird-flinging gameplay of its predecessors, Angry Birds Space transplants the action to a new setting: outer space.

This allows for plenty of new gameplay mechanics, including slow motion, low gravity, and light speed destruction.

There are 60 levels of pig-bashing action to work your way through, and - as is the norm with the Angry Birds franchise - regular free content updates are promised.
