What better way to fill your life with Christmas cheer than slaughtering hundreds of highly detailed zombies on your mobile device of choice? Well, that's exactly what Madfinger are offering in the latest free update to Dead Trigger.

The new update, which pushes the game to version 1.70, features the obligatory North Pole level, where you take on hordes of the undead, most of whom are wearing Santa hats or reindeer helmets. 'Tis the season, after all.

You'll also get to face off against Zanta, a new boss character who, if our word skills are up to scratch, is a big fat zombie version of Father Christmas. Looks like we're all going to end up on the naughty list this year.

The update is available right now, for free, from the App Store and should be available in the Google Play Store soon, and comes with tweaks and bug fixes as well as new and improved weapons, cheaper store prizes, and an underground puzzle to solve that will bag you a Dead Trigger T-shirt.

So if you want to fill your silent nights with the loud refrain of a grenade launcher blowing up a bunch of zombies in festive get up, you should probably grab the update as soon as you can.
