There's been a lot of news flying around this week about Firemonkey Games's gorgeous looking racer Real Racing 3, not least a controversy about how the once premium series has made the move to a free to play model.

Still, if you're lucky enough to live in Australia, New Zealand, or Canada, then there's a very good chance that you're going to be able to find out if the game lives up to, or is consumed by, the hype sometime today, with the game set for a soft launch in the coming hours.

Our advice to you is check your App Store at just gone midnight local time tonight and you might find a Real Racing 3 shaped valentines present waiting for you. Don't expect it to bring you chocolates or roses though, just really attractive looking racing on some of the world's toughest circuits.

The rest of the world will have to wait a couple of weeks longer to get their hands on the high octane speedy action though, with the release set for the 28th of February.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how players in the soft launch zone find the free to play system, which is based around the damage that your car receives in a race. You can check out a more detailed breakdown of what you're going to be paying for by clicking here.
