If you've ever thought that the Metal Slug series of games was too focused on non-stop violence, platforming fun, and slapstick comedy, then you're in luck, because SNK apparently agrees with you. And to right that wrong, they've released Metal Slug Wars on the Canadian App Store.

Rather than sticking to the tried and tested Metal Slug formula, the game is a massively multiplayer RTS that sees you storming the defences of the evil General Morden in order to try and put an end to his evil and nefarious insurrection.

You'll get to build bases, train your troops and generally do all the fun things that an RTS lets you get along with. Who wants to take on giant bosses single handedly in battles to the death anyway?

There's no solid release date yet, but we've embedded a video, via Touch Gameplay, below that shows you what to expect when the game does make it to the rest of the world. Please note that the video is very long, and shows a good chunk of the start of the game, so if you want to come to things fresh, might be best to give it a miss.
