Fireproof Games has just confirmed that The Room Two will be heading to iPad on December 12th.
After winning widespread critical acclaim - not to mention a BAFTA award - for their gorgeously spooky logic-puzzler The Room last year, the dev team started work on what they describe as the "difficult second album".
Despite the warm reception the first game received, the creative minds responsible for the indie hit were more than aware of its limitations.
"We know our first game had many weak points," explains Fireproof Games' Barry Meade. "It was on the simplistic side, it took place in an overly confined world, it ended quiet abruptly, and above all else, it was too damn short."
The dev did make an effort to address the game's abrupt ending earlier this year with a downloadable epilogue chapter (see trailer above). However, with The Room Two, Meade believes the team will be able to correct all these issues, while fleshing out the successful elements of the formula even further.
We'll be showing more of the mysterious world of The Room Two over the coming weeks, so be sure to keep your eye on AppSpy. The game will go live on the App Store on December 12th. It will only be availble on the iPad initially, and will cost £2.99 / $4.99.
