Fox and TinyCo have revealed that they are working on a free-to-play mobile game based on Family Guy.

According to Fox, the interactive version of Seth MacFarlane's hit animated sitcom will be coming to the App Store in 2014, and will allow players to explore the city of Quahog.

Though the official character roster has yet to be announced, we do know that the city will be full of familiar faces from the TV series. The game will also feature a new story developed specifically for the project.

Speaking to Polygon, TinyCo's Andrew Green revealed that resource management elements will play a part in the Family Guy game. However, he insists that the team is dialled-in on the game's narrative.

"We want you to feel like you're playing the show," Green said.

When it comes to recreating Family Guy's anarchic sense of humour, Green assures us that "nothing's sacred and nothing's safe," as far as his team is concerned.
