Japanese developer Kemco has released its latest JRPG adventure Chrome Wolf on the App Store today.
Given Kemco's impressive back catalogue of retro role-playing games, we're stunned it still has any original names left in its fantasy game title sorting hat. Luckily, the latest rummage did manage to conjure up something new, even if the game's visuals and story are somewhat familiar.
As you can see from the trailer above, Chrome Wolf's 16-bit style closely resembles recent Kemco releases Chronus Arc and Destiny Fantasia.
Here, however, each soldier's ability and weapon sets are defined by eight available classes, allowing for a range of approaches and tactics in battle. A tank is also on hand to support your squad, enabling you to flatten the opposition with superior firepower, and move quickly across the world map.
In-game points can also be used to purchase additional items and dungeons. Whether these points are acquired through play or via in-app purchases is less clear, however.
If Kemco's brand of RPG gets you hot under the collar, you can grab Chrome Wolf for half price (£2.49 / $3.99) on the App Store today.
