If you follow the band Metronomy, you may already have the group's latest earworm I'm Aquarius lodged in your skull. However, the folks at Mutant Labs have gone a step further, creating a rhythm-based avoidance game for iOS based on the song.

The game involves piloting the brightly coloured spaceship (based on the craft seen in the I'm Aquarius music video) through a pulsing minefield of asteroids, obstacles, and lasers.

Naturally, the action plays out to the sound of the title song, which has been remixed exclusively for this interactive experiment. There are leaderboards to climb and social media integration to abuse, but you'll mostly be floating through space and bobbing your head to the soundtrack.

According to the developer, the band itself was involved in designing the game, making I'm Aquarius comparable to PolyFauna, Radiohead's recent foray into the world of iOS gaming.

If you want to give I'm Aquarius a try, you can download it free for iPhone right now (sorry iPad owners, but there's no HD version at the moment).

You can also take a look at the video which inspired the game via the link below.
