Watch_Dogs Multiplayer: iPhone vs PC

As you may have heard, Ubisoft's much anticipated free-roaming hackathon Watch_Dogs landed on consoles and PCs everywhere yesterday.

Not to leave the iOS crowd out in the cold, the devs accompanied the release of Watch_Dogs with an iOS (and Android) companion app, catchily titled Watch_Dogs Companion: ctOS Mobile

Rather than just letting you browse your inventory or peer at a map while on the bus (like most companion apps), this nifty addition to the Watch_Dogs universe allows you to compete head-to-head with console and PC players in a cross-platform game of cops and robbers.

The player with the mobile app assumes controls of the city's police force and security systems, and must pursue the other player though the streets of Chicago. You co-ordinate your chase using an interactive map, deploying interceptors and directing your helicopter with taps and swipes.

Peter and I decided to give it a try, with Peter controlling cops and me fleeing for my life. See how it all played out in the video below.

You can download Watch_Dogs Companion: ctOS Mobile for free right now.
