Game of Dice has just been updated with a ton of new content and features themed on pirates.

The aptly-named Pirate Attack update includes a new event map themed on a pirate ship which changes the toll system so it matches up with the nature of pirates.

There's also a bunch of new island spots like Treasure Island which trigger special skills when you land on them.

If you were hankering for a new character, this update won't let you down. There's a lady pirate who specialises in Vacation Spot Tolls waiting to be played.

You'll also find four new themed skill cards (one of which is craftable) and a new dice - the Monkey Dice - which specialises in Vacation Spots and Toll Increases.

Plenty of new content then but there are a few new exciting features as well, like the ability to chat to friends and guild members to better coordinate your plans.

The level cap has also been increased from 30 to 35 and there are a ton of new events to participate in. These are themed on Valentine's day, the new Pirate Attack update, and Chinese New Year, and successfully completing them earns you a bunch of gold, gems, and holograms.

For the uninitiated, Game of Dice is an iOS and Android board game in which you throw dice to make your way around a board, taking all of the tiled properties you land on. Each time you perform a lap of the board, these properties then increase in value.

And that's a good thing - as the aim of the game is to drive your opponents into bankruptcy. It's similar to Monopoly in that respect but it has it's differences, like the 65 different skill cards that can give you the upper hand or the variety of characters and dice which have their own abilities.
