South Korean publisher Joycity has followed on from its successful mobile action game Gunship Battle: Helicopter 3D with a sequel sure to please flight simulator fans. Gunship Battle: Second War puts you in the cockpit of 20 faithfully recreated World War 2 gunships including the Spitfire, Warhawk and Saetta. It’s up to you to take to the skies and rain down hell on the enemy, becoming an ace pilot in the post-war 50s.
As with the first Gunship Battle, the controls are gyroscopic, freeing your thumbs up to control the camera and the weaponry. As you complete each of the 30 missions, you win gold to add to your war chest, allowing you to upgrade your favourite flying machine. Once you’ve tackled the standard missions, the seasoned veterans among you can try the more challenging Special Missions.
This month (09/21 – 10/20) you can Pick up gold, dollars and special items in three different in-game events. Earn rewards simply by logging in on consecutive days in the ‘Daily Login Event’, or by clearing each episode in the ‘Episode Clear Event’. There's also 1,000 gold on offer completing the first episode with a coupon code that you’ll receive upon downloading the game.
Gunship Battle: Second War improves upon the graphics of its predecessor and has a simplified UI - so not only does it look better, it runs more smoothly too. There’s also the addition of a cockpit mode, allowing you to switch to a first-person view mid-conflict to gain a front-row seat.
If you fancy yourself a daredevil pilot, you can download Gunship Battle: Second War for free from the App Store and Google Play.
