You play as a black cat, star-hopping in the hopes of finding your missing feline friend. Each star represents a puzzle stage, and there are over 300 to solve as the story unfolds over 3 episodes. Gameplay involves moving coloured blocks onto the board to create matching triads. You can also use special blocks like Lightning to your advantage, clearing the board more quickly. The bigger the combo of matching blocks, the higher your score, so it pays off to play strategically.

The graphics in Mr. Catt are pretty and illustrative – it’s like leafing through a children’s book. The music is lullaby-like and adds atmosphere as you work your way up the star spangled mission map. There are also fun Easter egg animations hidden around the galaxy waiting to be triggered by a tap.
