Webzen’s MMORPG MU Origin has just received an update packed with new features for aspiring warriors, including fiery gems, a dicey mini-game, PvP mayhem and dungeon warfare.
The latter is a new dungeon defence challenge called Server Dungeon Cry Wolf. It’s down to you to protect the Cry Wolf statue from 15 waves of enemies. Keep the monument standing and you’ll reap EXP, Zen, Wolf Dust and more. If the statue falls, though, the round is immediately halted.
The Wolf Dust you win in Server Dungeon Cry Wolf can be exchanged for another new addition to MU. Soul Gems are an evolution of Soul Stones, and provide you with elemental powers. These precious stones can be bought with Wolf Dust, then combined for a mix of effects and upgraded for additional strength.
There’s also a new guild war tournament that tests your best against the rest. During Cry Wolf Battle, your guild must attack and occupy forts of varying levels, and defend against your captured territory when other players challenge you. Each victory against your enemy brings rewards. Guilds must be level 5 or more to take part, and you can only invade forts that are a maximum of one level above yours. Whichever guild is reigning over the level 10 fort after the battle that takes place on every Sunday, is crowned the toughest guild in MU, and players in the guild will receive new titles to prove it.
For a bit more loot, Webzen has introduced a mini-game called Dice Hunter. It’s a digital board game, with tiles featuring gems, boss raids and more. You throw the dice to work your way round the board, picking up whatever treasure you can get your hands on. You get 5 free dice rolls a day, although you can buy more if you’re feeling lucky.
Along with an increased character level cap, fresh log-in rewards and overall system improvements, there’s never been a better time to shine your armour and join the fight. You can download MU Origin from the App Store and Google Play.
