If you're in the mood for a great strategy MMO then a quick glance through the Play Store will show plenty of apps to beat the band. But which one is the best of the bunch?

Making a strong case for winning that crown is Lords Mobile, having just been awarded with Google Play's prestigious "Android Excellence" award. As you might suspect, the award is Google's way of offering its recognition to apps that offer the best playing experience on the Play Store.

Initially launched in 2016, Lords Mobile sets you loose in a cartoon-style world, where you'll build up a peronal army of quirky characters and do battle with other players online. The game is fully rendered in 3D, with its vibrant visuals offering plenty of incentive to enjoy the game's engrossing strategy gameplay.

This latest achievement isn't the first for Lords Mobile, which also previously came out on top in the "Most Competitive Game" category in Google Play's Best of 2016 awards. Besides awards recognition, the game has also proved to be a massive hit world wide, topping mobile charts in multiple territories and being featured on 8 occasions throughout last year.

Eager to build on their success, developer IGG is promising an equally eventful 2018. Players can expect further tweaks and improvements on both iOS and Android, as well as the prospect of Lords Mobile entering the eSports space, starting with an Asian Tournament in the Spring.

If you'd like to give it a try for yourself then you can find Lords Mobile on the App Store or Google Play.
