Golf Peaks is a pint-sized puzzler aimed at absolutely everyone, and it’s just gone live on the App Store.

Developed by indie studio Afterburn, the game was built over the course of five months with simplicity and accessibility in mind, so you don’t need to be the next Tiger Woods to get involved. In fact, you don’t need any knowledge of golf at all!

Golf Peaks challenges players to guide a ball up a series of mountains using a card-based movement system. There are more than 70 levels to tackle across six worlds and mini golf-themed multiplayer bouts to add extra longevity after you’ve finished the campaign.

Although golf was the inspiration for the game, you don’t need to know your pitching wedges from your putters to partake. Golf Peaks is so straightforward that you can play it one-handed and its minimalist visuals were designed to have a relaxing effect on the user.

Also available on PC through Steam, Golf Peaks has already earned early plaudits, having been named as the winner of Pocket Gamer's Big Indie Pitch in GIC Poznan last month.

The mobile version of the game is available to download from the App Store for £2.99 and there are no in-app purchases or adverts after that.
