Mulled 2 arrives on mobile amid plenty of hype. Not only is it the follow-up to the acclaimed original Mulled: A Puzzle Game, the sequel has already bagged two awards ahead of its release. The game won the Big Indie Pitch at Pocket Gamer Connects in Jordan last year and was named as one of the best three entries to the General Entertainment Authority Challenges competition.

Available for iOS and Android, Mulled 2 takes the simplistic yet challenging formula its predecessor was built on and expands it. Developer Hako Games has made the sequel as accessible as possible, challenging players to guide balls into golden holes across a series of levels.

There’s no learning curve beyond this, although players must test their wits against 100 challenging puzzles and there’s community content to keep you busy after that. Hako Games has bundled in a level editor, so you can try your hand at crafting puzzles as well as sampling other players’ creations.

Hako Games and its founders Abdullah Konash and Ahmed Al-Haddad are multi-awards winners with a solid track record so far. Not only has Mulled 2 already landed a pair of accolades, its predecessor was the recipient of the Mobily Developer Award back in 2013.

Since then, the studio has been experimenting with sound direction in games, making creative use of it in Reunion and Shout of Survival, so Mulled 2 marks a return to their puzzle beginnings.
