VERDICT

While fun to play, the gameplay never really differs or builds on itself. There are many levels, but again no variation. It's worth a shot but not at the current asking price.

Bends, turns, loop-de-loops, trying your hardest not to fly off the track. These thrills form the basis of 3D Rollercoaster Rush. There's a rollercoaster and a car full of people. Get through the track as fast as possible while keeping as many passengers alive as you can. If you've played Rollercoaster Rush, it's basically the same game with better graphics and streamlined controls.

The controls are simple and easy to use. Tilt the screen right to go faster, tilt the screen left to slow down. The faster you go, the happier passengers are after jumps, but if you don't land the cart correctly, people fly off the track. Other obstacles appear such as holes in the rollercoaster but essentially the levels are a judgment call of when and when not to brake.

The upgrade to 3D looks nice and works well.. The camera has some intense angles on certain jumps but does not interfere with the 2d gameplay. The music tracks are fitting up-tempo instrumental versions of famous rock songs, or you can use your own music on the iPod. There is no online leaderboard, however you can race against a ghost of the game developers.
