Card Drop is a card game where players must stack up cards on free falling cards to get points. The stacking system is similar to Solitaire, where players either stack cards in sequence counting up or down. The difference in Card Drop however, is that players must stack their cards before the falling cards drop off the screen. Players must stack as many cards as they can for points before the game timer runs out.
Players stack cards by dragging cards from their piles at the bottom up to the falling card in the sequence. Players can repeat numbers in any sequence and switch order as long as the card you drag on is the next in the sequence. The concept might seem a bit confusing at first, but once players get the hang of it, the game gets very interesting.
The visuals are fine; cards can be clearly seen and expanded on. The soundtrack can get a little annoying after a while, but players are free to use their iPod instead. Card Drop is a single player game, but highscores can be submitted to a global leaderboard system.
Card Drop is a game that fans of Solitaire or quick thinking will enjoy. The frantic gameplay is highly addictive and the simple controls leave you free to try and rack up big combos. And while the single player game is the only mode available, you really don’t need anything else to keep you busy.
