I'm not ashamed to say that I grew up as a SEGA kid and one of my favorite experiences during the 90's had to be the Ecco the Dolphin series. Hungry Shark by Future Games of London puts you in place of a ravenous shark and while you may be twisting and diving your way around the depths of the sea like Ecco, you're not out to save sea-life... you're out to devour it.

Virtual pads and buttons are thrown out the window as Hungry Shark uses the accelerometer to give you fine control over your shark's movement. Tapping the screen activates a boost mode for extra speed for those especially wily creatures of the deep. The tilt controls are adjusted every time you play, keeping things comfortable no matter how you're oriented.

Gameplay is an endless style, forcing players to constantly feed their 3D shark with the game's plentiful supply of semi-realistic aquatic life and the occasional fisherman that should have had a bigger boat. There are plenty of quips to enjoy as you continue your feeding frenzy and various items can be collected for huge bonus points. It doesn't take too long to explore most of the area you're given, but as you feed your shark does get larger making access to some areas far more difficult later in the game.

Hungry Shark is a unique sort of endless game, where players can just as easily spend their time hassling swimmers for fun or take the high-score challenge of searching for bonuses, making this a strangely relaxing (if gruesome) way to spend your spare time.
