LilRacerz by Blast One brings the R.C. Pro-Am style of racing to the iPhone with 17 fast paced and fun filled tracks and four competitive leagues to complete.
Racing couldn't be simpler and instead of opting for analogue or tilt based controls, Blast One have stuck to virtual buttons to replicate the classic racing style that brought us greats like Rock'n'Roll Racing. Two buttons provide controls to turn left and right and holding down will put your vehicle in to semi-controlled drift. Tapping helps to fine-tune turns, especially at higher levels and speeds. Braking is hardly necessary and is generally only used to reverse after a bad turn, while nitro's can be activated by sliding your finger up the accelerator for a quick boost.
In keeping with its classic style, the game is rendered in a top down view with sprite based vehicles over a 3D rendered map. The levels are fast paced and generally only take a couple minutes to complete unless you completely lose control. Vehicles are unlocked as you progress and can have their handling, acceleration, top speed and turning upgraded to keep up with the increasingly difficult AI.
LilRacerz is pure old school arcade racing fun and fans of games that spawned from the Super Sprint style of gameplay will get a kick out of its simple gameplay and thumping bit-tune tracks. The game is easy to quickly complete, but the ride is still well worth taking.
