UPDATE: The constant support and updates from Halfbrick for Fruit Ninja has been nothing short of spectacular and over time this title has grown from a fun time waster to something you can share with friends either by sniping high scores or by challenging them directly online with a multiplayer mode. Furthermore the addition of an 'Arcade' mode pits players against the clock with powerful power-ups that will test their slicing skills. Fruit Ninja just gets better and better over time and is without a doubt a must have for anyone's iDevice.

Here at Appspy.com we'd like to give you a friendly public service announcement: Mixing too much morning coffee with a heavy session of Fruit Ninja by Halfbrick Studios can be hazardous to your high-scores. As the first exclusive title for the iPhone from this Australian based developer, you'll be testing your reflexes and observational skills as you slash through piles of sweet juicy fruit.

Fruit Ninja is an endless arcade game with suitably simple controls that anyone can pick up and play. Slashing at incoming fruit is as easy as swiping your finger across the screen, but accidentally cutting a bomb will end your game prematurely. The game can also end if you're too slow and allow three pieces of fruit in a row to drop off screen.

For such a basic game, the 3D graphics are luscious with fruit splattering their juices gruesomely across the background. As an added bonus, random criticals can be triggered, adding significantly to your score. For those on the go, iTunes is supported for background music, making this a great title to load up for a quick play.

Fruit Ninja is an addictive endless title that tries to keep things fresh by mixing random level progression with increasingly complex patterns. What could have easily been another 'toy' app is transformed in to something that tests your patience and your reflexes with its simple gameplay. A 'refreshing' title for fans of casual endless games.
