'Donut Ninja - Tappi Bear' is cute and simple and has a strange addictive air about it that would only be improved if it was bundled with all of it's other 'mini-game' episodes.

Donut Ninja is the third in a current series of four available games by Taplay in the 'Tappi Bear' series of mini-games and I thought I'd give you the low-down on at least one of these titles as they're an interesting experience to say the least.
All of the games in this series keep things extremely simple, requiring only one to two taps to play and in Donut Ninja it's your job to feed the incoming waves of attacking ninja bears with donuts before they attack. The game essentially feels like a whack-a-mole variant, however occasionally bears will hold up numbers to indicate how many additional donuts you'll need to throw at them before they're defeated.
The Tappi Bear series uses bright, colorful, sticker-art cartoonish designs that look absolutely adorable. The idea of a donut obsessed world full of cute bears reaches a strange level of 'randomness' that's fun to enjoy without being pointless nonsense. OpenFeint is also used to help with the tracking of high scores and achievements.
If anything the real downfall of Donut Ninja and its ilk is the extremely limited gameplay that does get more challenging over time (and certainly has some addictive charm), but lacks real value when split over so many separate games. A great distraction for fans of casual titles, but we can only hope they all get bundled some time in the future instead.
