SKIP SD by Life-Giving studios places you behind the controls of an elite fighter in the Special 'Kaizen' Infiltration Platoon (SKIP for short) as you attempt to complete your mission in the post-World War 3 Earth of 2087. Or so I've had to garner from the App Store description as the game unceremoniously flings you in to a tunnel with little more than the title of the area you're in.

This may be a small oversight, but it's something of a running theme with SKIP SD as you're left wondering just what to do. Initially you're placed in to a tunnel with a speed booster and a gun. Boosting increases the rate at which you earn points and the gun is used to push obstacles that can't be avoided out of the way. This is easy enough to pick up within the first few seconds of the game, but then nothing else happens outside of your score going up and the occasional error where you slam in to something, having your shields temporarily depleted (a second hit at this point will end your run).

Should you be patient enough you'll unlock the next level, which is by far more exciting as you fling yourself around a debris-filled space field, but once again you're lacking in directives other than to take your time and be patient before moving on once more. The artwork is incredibly detailed despite the somewhat basic premise of the game, but with so little to do beyond merely surviving it's easier to consider this more of a tech-demo than a genuine game.

SKIP SD has some great ideas and visuals to back them up, but at this time it's an easy game to avoid unless you're up for spending your time lazily avoiding obstacles with little to no replay value at all.
