Lotsa Blocks Review
PROS
- Rotating the blocks before you drag them to the stage is a nice addition.
- Plenty of modes (after you unlock them or pay to unlock them).
CONS
- The blocks really start to annoy you with their cheers.
- Nothing we haven't seen before.
VERDICT
Another block balancing game with some personality and a bunch of modes, but nothing to really set it apart from the other games in its genre.

The physics block stacking game is an established mobile genre. Even more than that, giving the blocks (or whatever you happen to be balancing) personalities isn't anything new either. None of this is a problem if you can deliver the content in an interesting and entertaining way. Does Lotsa Blocks accomplish this? Let's find out.
The goal in adventure mode is to stack blocks on the teetering balance beam to reach the finish line placed somewhere above. Before dragging the blocks from the top right corner, they can be rotated into an optimum angle, so any block with ninety degree angles can be positioned to link up with its brethren without hassle. As the levels continue, different blocks are added into the mix, obstacles on the game world inhibit placement, and there are a host of perks floating around in bubbles that be popped to receive the boons they provide.
Now it was mentioned that the blocks have personalities. Well they have faces that are amusing enough, but the art style is quite sparse, and in the sound department, the cheers and catcalls the blocks emit, especially when reaching the finish line will have you switching off your sound in a heartbeat.
As a contender in its genre, Lotsa Blocks really doesn't put in the effort required to stand out amongst its peers. The rotation mechanic is a great idea, and the bubbles are enjoyable to pop and receive their rewards, but aside from that, it's the same block stacking game you've played before, and only the most dedicated fans or those approaching this game type for the first time will likely find the experience engaging.
