While it's fair to say that World War II has been covered from every possible angle in the gaming world, the First World War is comparatively under represented.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War not only focuses on the first major global conflict of the 20th century, but does so in a far more subtle and nuanced way than your average military shooter.

As Pocket Gamer's Jon Munday discovered, this point-and-click adventure uses both humour and solemnity to tell its story, a combination that works on a number of levels.
