Lightomania is a brand-new physics-puzzler from a developer called Nravo.
In Lightomania, you're tasked with helping two fuzzy (and loveable) thieves who plan to make off with the world's supply of energy-rich light bulbs.
You do this across 54 varied stages. How? By pulling the tongues of your pilfering buddies and then launching them across your device's screen at their targets.
Naturally, you should attempt to complete each stage in as few moves as possible if you wish to get your mitts on any of Lightomania's many bonuses.
Although Lightomania was inspired by some of the App Store's most popular puzzle games, such as Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, Nravo have worked hard to ensure that their creation isn't just another clone of an existing product.
So, what sets Lightomania apart from similar puzzle games on the App Store?
According to Nravo, it's the game's funny and addictive animations. Plus, the fact that there are two central characters helps to elevate Lightomania above the rest of the pack.
Lightomania is also optimised for kids.
As you'd expect for a game of this type, Nravo will update Lightomania with new packs of levels over the coming weeks and months.
In fact, according to Nravo, some of the best parts of the game are still to come. The current version is only the beginning of Lightomania's exciting story.
The first pack of new levels to hit the App Store will be called 'Playroom'. In this pack, you'll be introduced to a bunch of new elements and mechanics, which should shake things up a little.
Nravo haven't released any concrete details about the pack that will follow the Playroom pack, but your fuzzy friends will apparently be whisked out of their house and on a surprise-filled adventure.
Currently, there are two versions of Lightomania available on the App Store: a 69p / 99c 'full version', and a free-to-download 'lite version'.
As you can imagine, the former version is jam-packed (with three level packs and all of the 54 varied stages mentioned above), whereas the latter version contains some tutorial levels and a bunch of walkthrough videos.
Lightomania isn't currently available to download on Android, but Nravo are considering porting it to Google's mobile platform in the future.
