Tiny Pond is an aquatic adventure featuring a bunch of flowers who've fallen into the water and its up to one heroic flower to save them from deadly threats like spiky leaves and flower-eating fish.
You tap the water to create waves that either move your flower or obstacles in its way, and there are power-ups to collect that grow or shrink the flower.
Each level is like a little puzzle in itself and it can be enjoyed by all ages thanks to a lovely visual aesthetic reminiscent of Tiny Wings.
Despite the cute and colourful design and child-friendly mechanics, Minji Park, CEO at TpotStudio, believes that Tiny Pond is suitable for all ages.
Park: "There is a general concern that games are for children but I wanted to make a game that both adults and children can play together so, compared to other games, Tiny Pond's visuals and sound are less stimulating.
"The solution for each stage differs drastically and the idea is that parents and their children can work together to overcome the challenges.
"It delivers a good message about saving friends that's heartwarming for all ages."
Though Tiny Pond is relatively minimal by design, that doesn't mean it wasn't challenging to develop. In fact, designing the water was the most difficult challenge Park and team faced during development.
Park: "We wanted it to look like artwork for a fairy tale and it was really complicated to design so took us a long time to perfect.
"We tried many different shaders until we finally selected ones that suited the atmosphere of the game while not consuming too much of your battery."
All of that hard work has paid off as reviewers have singled out the visual style as a standout feature of Tiny Pond and that's the element that Park is the most proud of.
Park: "We've put a lot of effort into the visuals and the music and I'm really satisfied with the results.
"I've read a lot of good reviews that mention our art style."
The wheels are still in motion over at TpotStudio, with the team actively working on the future of Tiny Pond.
Park: "The iPad version will launch soon and we also plan to add more stages to the game."
Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring Tiny Pond over to Android or Windows Phone "yet". Tiny Pond is available right now on iPhone over at the App Store [download].
