I'm honestly a little surprised that I didn't receive more death-threats for not having a Top List up for March by now, but I can only assume people were satiated by the immense amounts of candy they're likely to have recently consumed. While a few genres were left out of the mix, most gamers were sure to find something they liked over the last month. After the big release month of November and the surprisingly full-featured month of December, January was always going to feel like a slump no matter how good its releases were. Thankfully not every developer or publisher was afraid of this stigma and as a result iOS gamers were treated to some really fun games that helped to smooth things out. Starting as of this year we'll be dropping the numbered order of these top releases. The reasoning for this is that they all essentially represent the best of what's on offer, meaning any order given to them is purely personal preference. For those that know me personally, 'top lists' are a topic I find to be profoundly difficult to participate in as there's always a point at which you're splitting hairs just for the sake of ranking one thing above or below another. Before we get to the big lists of the year we need to follow protocol and make sure we acknowledge the best games of December 2011. With this in mind, December had some surprisingly hefty releases, though not all of them turned out to be as exciting as we had hoped. None the less as always there's some spark of hope given the amount of releases each month, so lets get stuck in. 3. After looking back at the games that punctuated the month of September, it was clear who the winners and grinners really were.
