NetEase Games has opened the pre-registration for the iOs version of the pirate-themed nautical game “War for the Seas”, where players can go and embrace their inner pirate and engage in a swashbuckling adventure.
Players will be able to choose how they want to explore the game; either as explorers reaching the far corners of the map, as tradesmen travelling from port to port in search of a sea of gold, or they can opt to be pirates and become the scourge of the seas.
The game is slated to be released in English, Arabic and Turkish, so players will have a whole host of potential allies or enemies to encounter as they explore the maps and ports, based on real locations in America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Players will be able to buy new ships to amass their own huge customisable fleet, which they can then take into real-time naval battles. Controlling the ships, players will be able to take evasive manoeuvres, aim and fire their cannons or even rush their opponents and ram into them. If a life of riches is more appealing, players will be able to sail around and trade at over 100 ports, with the opportunity to invest in their favourite locations and amass countless wealth. Players can also form their own “Chamber of Commerce” to better control and organise their trading empire
For those seeking a quieter life of adventure and intrigue, players are able to take to the open seas and seek out rare treasures awaiting them in real-world locations which have been rendered in all their 3D glory, such as the Egyption Pyramids or Stonehenge.
“War of the Seas” is available now on Google Play, and will be out on the App Store come 14th February, the perfect date to fall in love with the open seas.
