Crunchyroll Games, the interactive division of one of the foremost anime providers, has announced the launch of their newest mobile game; Bloodline: The Last Royal Vampire. Based on the series of popular Chinese graphic novels, funnily enough, named Bloodline, and developed by Shanda Shengqu Games, Bloodline will be releasing worldwide with the exception of Asia.
Bloodline: The Last Royal Vampire follows the titular vampire Lilo and her companion Ren on their journey to combat a militaristic order called the Holy Land. Players can collect over 400 characters to form a team from and engage in tactical turned-based card game combat through the game's story, or against other players. PvP can be faced solo in the Arena or the Tower of Fate, or as a team in real-time Guild Wars and the massive cross-server Wars.
It would be a safe bet to say that Bloodline is not that well known in the west, with even a trusty Google search needing a lot of prompting to find it, so to assist in launching this new series to the worldwide audience, Crunchyroll Games has swung for the fences and a big name collab.
During the pre-registration period and for a limited time after launch, Bloodline: The Last Royal Vampire will be teaming up with Attack on Titan, the globally popular anime that succeeds despite its rather polarizing main character. During the limited-time event, players can collect a variety of characters such as Eren, Mikasa and Levi, as well as partaking in themed dungeons and earning Attack on Titan cosmetics to customise in-game profiles.
When discussing the launch and collaboration, the General Manager of Crunchyroll Games, Terry Li, said “Bloodline is an exciting story pitting good vs. evil in an epic battle for survival that makes for an exciting mobile game. We can’t wait to unleash the action on players. We are deeply humbled to work with Shanda Shengqu Games and Kodansha to bring Attack on Titan characters into the Bloodline world and create a truly epic launch experience for fans. We know the massive cast of characters, deep story and endless gameplay will keep fans coming back for more”.
Bloodline: The Last Royal Vampire will be launching in the summer on the App Store and Google Play.
