AppSpy's bigger brother, Pocket Gamer, has begun its yearly ritual of separating the wheat from the chaff in the mobile gaming world, by hosting the glistening Pocket Gamer Awards 2022. Celebrating the best of the best across many categories, only the most worthy will earn their place in the winner's circle.

After coming out of five years of hibernation last year, the PGA 2021 doled out plaudits to the very best games 2021 had to offer. Company of Heroes won the hearts and minds of gamers with Best Strategy Game, whereas Call of Duty Mobile flaunted its longevity by nabbing the Best Game We’re Still Playing. Genshin Impact walked away with the grandest prize of all, Mobile Game of the Year.

To really make sure that the objectively best winners get crowned, Pocket Gamer invites any and all players to get involved and vote for what game they think deserves to win. There are a comprehensive 24 categories to pick a winner in ranging from best in genre to best on Netflix. The bat signal has been lit and nominations have already begun to pour in.

With the coveted Game of the Year Award race wide open, it is time to visit the nominations page and make sure the worthiest games get the nominations they deserve. Any game played between October 1st 2021 and September 30th 2022 can be chosen, there are no restrictions in place, so it is truly anyone's game.

When nominations close on October 31st, it is time for the most exciting stage. The official shortlists will be released on November 1st, and it will be time to vote for the game that deserves to win the title. The timeframe will last until the end of the month, so plenty of time to teach the dog how to vote.

Votes will be tallied up in early December, and the winners of every category will be announced on Dember 5th. In addition, another game will be chosen by the editorial team to have the honour of being inducted into the PG Hall of Fame. Last year Angry Birds won the right for its services in catapulting mobile gaming into the mainstream, so the bar has been well and truly set for the next inductee.

Nominations have already begun, so visit the Pocket Gamer Awards 2022 nomination page now and make your voices heard.
