Capitalizing on the recent release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel Contest of Champions has released a new update called Sea of Troubles. This will add both Shuri and Attuma to the Battlerealm.
Galactus has turned his eyes toward Wakanda, prompting their princess, Shuri, to seek the aid of the Summoner to assist in a diplomatic mission. Together, they seek to convince Namor, king of Talokan, to ally with Wakanda against the threat. One of Namor's advisors, however, Attuma, opposes the plan and will stand in the way of any alliance.
This update brings two new characters; Shuri and Attuma. Best known as the mastermind behind the Black Panther's suit, Shuri is the rebellious child of the Wakanda royal family, preferring to work on her technological projects than engage with tradition or ceremony. Without her, Wakandan technology would be nowhere near as advanced.
A staunch defender of Talokan, Attuma is a powerful warrior with keen combat senses and an iron will to never give in, no matter the situation. Aware of the approaching danger from the surface world, he will do anything to protect his beloved home, even if his methods go against the wishes of his king.
Shuri comes equipped with the technology she is known and loved for. A tech champion, of course, she wields Vibranium Gauntlets to fire deadly sonic blasts at her enemy that can increase her Precision, before unleashing her Apex Resonance skill to launch enemies into the air and pulverize them with overcharged beams.
In contrast, Attuma prefers to rely on his pure martial might in battle, wielding a simple sword to great effect. He is able to create hydro-bombs to stun enemies to set up attacks, or simply blow opponents away. Using his ultimate, Attuma is able to open a rift to the bottom of the ocean, sending his opponents down to the horrors that creep below.
Marvel Contest of Champions is available to download now on the App Store and Google Play. Shuri is already available to play, with Attuma following shortly on December 1st.
