Clash of Clans is ringing in the new year with a very enticing-looking new skin for the Champion as well as a very difficult New Year's challenge to take on. The Warrior Champion skin was round out the current Warrior skins and will give the hero a powerful look.

The main prize in this month's Gold Pass Reward is the brand new Warrior Champion Skin, fitting itself nicely in the current suite of Warrior skins; King, Queen and Warden. This new skin gives the warrior quite an attractive look that brings to mind an old Three Kingdoms Chinese theme. Wielding a spear and shield combo with some purple mail, you will be running around throwing this shiny new spear at enemies, as well as harnessing your inner Steve Rogers to launch your shield and watch it ricochet around your foes.

For those interested in seeing how this new skin looks in action, make sure that you check out the Happy New Year event currently ongoing. You will be tasked to destroy a fiendishly difficult base with a set party, which includes the Warrior Champion. You will be able to see her animations in action whilst slowly losing your sanity as the event is pretty difficult this year.

Now for the anticipated bad news, this new skin will only be available for those who pay for the Gold Pass. As well as the new look, you will also be able to claim a few other neat items such as a Wall Ring, Training, Research and Build Boosts, a Shovel of Obstacles and more. If you are playing free you won’t be able to be the skin, but you'll still be able to scoop a few decent rewards by progressing through the challenges, such as Super, Hero and Research Potions, a Book of Heroes and quite a bit of gold and elixir to help you on your way.
