Change has come with a huge first for MapleStory M, the MMORPG from Nexon. For the first time in the game's history, a brand new, never before seen original character has been released.

Being the first original character should give this new magician an advantage, as her unique constellation playstyle has been built from the ground up for the mobile game. Sia serves as the guardian of Oort, the home to the stars, carrying out her sworn duty to the cosmos by guiding stars along their destined path. Following a series of unusual events, Sia must leave Oort and travel to Maple World to start her new life here.

For everyone curious to see if Sia will use her talents to guide literal stars right into a monster's face, now is the best time to do so. The Growth mission event will grant all players rewards for levelling Sia and completing select events, with the Mega Burning Plus giving Sia an additional 2 levels every time she levels up. As good as this is for the resident Star Guardian, you can also nominate any other character you have to nab some Rewards and EXP when Sia levels, just in case Sia isn’t to your taste, you haven’t wasted your time.

It's not all about the new magician, as there are a bunch of New Year's events for all to take part in. If you log in for 14 consecutive days before February 8th you will earn a plethora of rewards, and you can also collect and open lucky red envelopes through hunting, packed with 2023 Special Energy. If you get bored, you could also dabble in a little bit of world-saving, taking on a slew of mini-games such as collecting coins, delivering food and climbing trees. To cap it off, take down the new boss Lord Pixrog, and earn some big rewards based on the participation count.
