Kartider: Drift is currently chugging along with its pre-season content for mobile and PC players, however soon the track will be full of new players. On March 8th the inaugural full season, Season 1, will launch and will allow you to go head-to-head against console gamers as well as other mobile fanatics.

KartRider has two main modes where players will most likely spend their time. The first of these big options is the Item Mode, which of course it is, what are kart racing games without them? This mode gives you what you would expect, a huge variety of offensive and defensive items to use to hinder other players or give you that much-needed edge.

If you aren't a big fan of shields or, rather amusingly, UFOs being thrown at you left and right, then you would be a lot more comfortable in Speed Mode. This is a classic arcade racer that forgoes items and pits racers against each other in a purer racing experience that hinges solely on just your individual racing skills. Now there definitely is a skill in deciding just when to throw that kamikaze Water Bomb, but Speed Mode is the place to go to determine just who is the best driver.

If you are looking for more solo experiences, the License System gives players a series of courses designed to both test and improve their skill levels, whilst introducing them to the more in-depth features of the game. When you complete these you'll also unlock items such as karts, characters and tracks. You can then take your new skills into Time Attack Mode to try and reach the top of the leaderboards.

The arrival of Season One will bring with it new players, but also shiny new content such as new tracks, racing modes, a season-long theme, daily rewards and much more.
