Netease has announced the second crossover between its horror multiplayer Identity V and mystery anime Bungo Stray Dogs, which is disappointingly not about canines solving crimes on the street but we carry on. Luckily for any fan who missed the first crossover, the exclusive items are being brought back as part of the second.
Hailing from the city of Yokohama, the leader of the Port Mafia has directed a team of its best and brightest to head out and investigate some strange stories about a particular manor. The team is made up of Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Chuya Nakahara, Motojirou Kajii, Hirotsu Ryuro, and Ichiyo Higuchi, who head out in the dark of night to investigate the Oletus Manor.
Akutagawa Ryunosuke has all the makers of a terrifying enemy, with his Rashomon ability to conjure a black monster from his cloak and transform it into a whirlwind of fangs and blades to tear through whom he chooses. One man who may stand against this foe is Hirotsu Ryuro, commander of the Black Lizard martial arts organisation who can use his Falling Camellia special to send anything he touches flying with immense force.
The agile master of Taijutsu, Chuya Nakahara, is capable of manipulating the gravity of anything he touches through his Upon the Tainted Sorrow move, a perfect way to set a trap. If mysticism is not your bag, you should try Motojiro Kajii or Ichiyo Higuchi, characters capable of keeping their distance using bombs and bullets, respectively.
If you manage to complete the new Visitor of the Night event you can net yourself a special B accessory, Akutagawa Ryunosuke's Mobile Phone, which you can then upgrade to S or A tier in the second event, Shock of Rashomon. If you are looking for the items from the first crossover, there will be a package available to buy from the store, containing Osamu Dazai, Atsushi Nakajima and a few select accessories.
If you want to brave the horror with the Port Mafia, download Identity V from the App Store and Google Play now.
