A short three years later, Gameloft developed the Despicable Me: Minion Rush runner game which this year is celebrating a decade of near-unparalleled success.

Minion Rush picks up when the main protagonist of the series, Gru, has gone. Left with no evil overlord to serve, the Minions, the small, unintelligible scourge of banana-kind, have decided they want to become the ultimate secret agents. As you control one of these little fellows you will run through locations such as the Anti-Villian League HQ and collect as many bananas as you can as you jump and weave your way through hundreds of obstacles.

The success Minion Rush has had is quite simply staggering.
