The latest update to Kraftons’ battle royale shooter New State Mobile brings with it lots to enjoy for its players. Between a whole new mode focusing on what makes shooters great, and a new weapon to dominate close quarters with, there is a lot to get into.

As well all know, the best part of any shooter is the copious amount of explosions you can unless with grenades and rocket launchers, because wanton destruction is extremely fun. New State is leaning into this with the new KA-BOOM Mode, a Round Deathmatch set on the ARENA map focused on grenade launchers and throwables.

This mode brings with it a new weapon; the Red Zone Launcher. This is basically a beefed-up version of the standard grenade launcher, that will wreak havoc on the map's destructible terrain. Any player that falls into destroyed terrain will experience instant death, so you will need to watch your step. Friendly fire is disabled for grenade damage, although hopefully, we can toggle that back on because that would be hilarious.

For those who recall, the LAGNA map was released last month with its focus on mid-to-long-range warfare. Krafton has listened to player feedback since the launch and is introducing a few tweaks. To start with, a Mesta muscle car will now be a guaranteed spawn to aid in getaways, and there is an increased chance for multi-care packages to drop Custom Kits and Flare Guns.

On top of this, there is an adjusted forest phase timing for the Blue Zone, to aid in early-game looting, as well as a higher global item spawn rate. These two changes in particular will help players in kitting out with the game's newest gun, the 12-gauge Sawed-off shotgun. If you manage to get a drop on the snipers camping out on LAGNAs ridges, you can dispatch them in no time flat with this.
