Arguably the most iconic villains of Spiderman's roster are the Sinister Six, and two of their members are heading to the Battlerealm in Marvel Contest of Champions. As usual, we are provided with a reveal trailer for these two fighters, and they look as dangerous as you would expect.
Sandman and Shocker are arriving in Battlerealm with little fanfare or event. They do not arrive with a big story, instead simply stumbling into the contest, before deciding that they should meet up with the rest of the Sinister Six. As they start to explore, however, they run into some familiar faces, including one particular masked webhead.
Whilst Sandman may not sound like the most intimidating foe, William Baker a.k.a Flint Marko became rather the troublesome villain after his exposure to experimental radiation. He can now shapeshift into a giant behemoth, or slip through his enemy's grasp like sand. His move set in Contest of Champions focuses on the former, with Flint using his shapeshifting skills to form devastating weapons, and grow to enormous size and clobber his unfortunate adversary. He’s definitely interesting, but with the recent Ant-Man also having the same sort of moves, our second hero looks more exciting.
Shocker on the other hand has no power, instead relying on his genius engineering skills and his homemade gauntlets that fire compressed air. Characters like these are a personal favourite, a non-powered person stepping up and contending in a superpowered world with nothing but their own skill. Shocker's skillset is surprisingly closed-ranged, using his martial skills to create some distance before blasting his foe with his signature weapons.
To make sure you don’t miss out on these new fighters, download Marvel Contest of Champions now from the App Store and Google Play. Shocker will be arriving on April 13th, with Sandman following close behind on April 27th.
