No matter what age you are, we can all agree Lego is one of the most fun toys there are, and this translates well into their games, especially with the humour that is injected into it, so it is excellent news indeed that Thunderful is bringing Lego Bricktales to mobile devices on April 27th.

You play as a Lego person, go figure, who is off on an adventure to seek out inspiration to help your grandfather reinvigorate his rundown amusement park. Or in other words, the perfect set-up for a builder game and a nice excuse to galavant around the world and create as many wonderful things as you have the blocks for.

As you travel you will meet a host of characters who will help you hone your skills, as you put together creations such as market stands and music boxes, but if that’s all there was it would be too easy. There will also be a few physics-based puzzles for you to solve, such as building cranes or gyrocopters. These were developed by the minds before the Bridge Constructor series, so they carry some pretty serious weight.

On your adventure, you will traipse through five unique diorama biomes, ranging from a bustling city to a vast jungle. Each location contains a large variety of construction spots with its own selection of bricks, so you are a little limited in what can be made, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The brick-by-brick building mechanic puts the power in your hands, as you construct your own structures to meet the challenges ahead of you.

When discussing the mobile launch, Chief Games Officer at Thunderful, Agostino Simonetta, said “ The brick-by-brick building mechanic in LEGO Bricktales is a match made in heaven for touchscreens and we can’t wait to see your creations”

Lego Bricktales will be released on April 27th on the App Store and Google Play and will cost $4.99. Until then, you can check out the official website for more information.
