Golf gets a lot more sus in What the Golf? with Among Us collaboration

Have you ever looked at golf and thought “I wish I had an overwhelming fear of being eaten by space aliens as I play this”? No, of course not, because that would be very strange, but that hasn’t stopped wonderfully weird folk at Triband from taking their indie hit What the Golf? and cramming it full of that runaway juggernaut Among Us.

Delightfully entitled Among Golf, this crossover adds brings 35 levels to the already slightly unhinged game, so you know you are in for a wild ride. You will wield your club, eggs, toilet paper, and a host of other everyday items as you venture through space rockets, vending machines, and of course, a space station full of imposters.

It is rather clear that this collaboration has been made with a great deal of love and admiration for the source material since Triband made all the levels in What the Golf for fun and then asked Among Us developers Interslouth if could they officially release them. It is when developers are fans of games that you know you are in the right hands.

When discussing the origins of the crossover, Tribands Creative Director, Tim Garbos, said “Do you know that feeling when you love a game so much that you start making levels in your own game about it? That’s normal, right?”

“It’s a cool and normal thing to do. Right? Anyway, we’re so grateful to Innersloth for being too uncomfortable to say no after we said please several times. Love those guys! So sweet. We hope players will enjoy the new Among Us-inspired What the Golf? levels that are still not really about golf!”

Unfortunately for Android owners, What the Golf? is only available on the Apple Arcade for iOS users. If you want to enjoy Among Golf, you will need to subscribe to the Arcade for $4.99 a month, which is a bargain given the hundreds of games available.
