With Honkai: Star Rail releasing lately and blowing everyone away it would be easy to overlook the goings on of its already-established siblings, but that is a trap we must sidestep as HoYoverse has announced the latest version 6.6 for their hit game Honkai Impact 3rd, coming this month.

Woven from Last Snow as it is named, will launch May 18th and introduce a new main story taking place in the Salt Snow Holy City, debut a new character named Misteln, and crucially, bring in a new combat system that you will need to get to grips with in order to face the newest threat that emerges against the Valkyries.

For those who played the Part 1 Finale, Misteln will be familiar to you under the moniker of Hare. Her background has already been touched upon, but now she will suit up in her battlesuit Dreamweaver as a MECH-type Physical DMG dealer. She starts fighting summoning units to do her bidding, but when casting her ultimate shifts forms to a fearsome warrior wielding a javelin to take on her foes personally.

This new fighter will need support, and this will come in the form of the new PROMETHEUS character. An IMG-type Physical support, she can shield her teammates during battle, protecting there but also enhancing their attacks, which is a superb ability for supporting your stronger attackers.

When you recruit your new team, you will need to master the new Inscribed Whispers game mode. This revolves around four attributes; light, ice, thunder and dark. These can all be unlocked and equipped, giving you a variety of active skills that can be cast in battle to turn the tide. Each attribute gives different skills and visual effects, which can be mixed and matched to create your perfect loadout.
