If you have ever played Fortnite and thought that you are the most talented and supreme dancer slash shooter in the world, then now is your chance to prove it. It’s been a long time coming, but now ranked play is making its way to the island.
As you load into either Battle Royale or Zero Build, thankfully it is available to both, you will now notice that you can toggle the Ranked option. If it is one, you will be able to see the rank of that weird dinosaur man standing there, along with a progress bar showing how long until that advance. This bar will increase or decrease depending on eliminations and match placement, with teams all sharing the same movement at the end of the game.
Kicking off with Season Zero, the inaugural attempt will last until the end ofBattleRoyale Chapter 4 Season 3, during which time you may notice a few adjustments or tweaks getting made to the system, which is a pretty good call by the developers instead of slapping down a system and calling it perfect.
There are eight ranks to work through, starting with Bronze, Silver and Gole, then Platinum, Diamond, Elite, Champion and finally Unreal. Bronze through Diamond each has three ranks, and the rest just one. Your starting rank for Season Zero will depend on your past match performances, and that of your first ranked match, so talented players have a chance to get right up there early.
Your rank will help determine who you face in battle, with similar ranks being together. As you advance, you get a harder challenge, and if you reach Unreal, then the true fight begins. You can’t regress when you reach the top rank, instead, you will be designated a number, showing your standing with all the other Unreal players in the world, and it will be your duty to play hard, and reach number one.
To start working through the ranks, download Fortnite on mobiles now by following your required process on the official site.
