30 Ninjas have announced the release of their augmented reality thriller for mobile devices, Asset 15. You will work your way through a gripping mystery to discover the potential threat of secret AI technology as you try to save your sister.
Asset 15 puts players in the shoes of Flux, played by Hunger Games alumni Amandla Stenberg. You will play through five chapters as you strive to uncover the secrets behind an experimental AI technology that caused Flux’s sister, Petra, to fall into a coma.
Through her job at Helios, Petra was working with the transcranial MR glasses, Asset 15, which allows its users to upload their memories to Helios’ cloud platform. It will be your job as Flux to navigate these memories and connect Petras’ thoughts through 3D AR puzzles to get to the bottom of this mystery.
You will experience Room-Scale Augmented Reality as you use your mobile device to navigate these puzzles and get up close and personal with the game's cast thanks to 30 Ninjas' use of volumetric video hologram technology. There is a lot of fancy tech in Asset 15, and it sounds like it will be interesting in quite a few ways.
30 Ninjas brings with it some fairly impressive credentials for this type of game, being founded by film director Doug Liman, who worked on movies such as The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow. Asset 15s AR use has also been worked on by France-based studio Novelab, experts in interactive media, with the holograms being produced by Metastage, award-winning masters in volumetric capture. There is a lot of talent on display here which should result in an excellent time.
The best news is you can experience all the intrigue and holographic wizardry for free, so download Asset 15 now from the App Store and Google Play.
