One of the best parts of any MMORPG is heading into the PvP mode and duking it out with the best of the best and emerging victorious, so the return of the iconic Bounty Hunter minigame in Old School RuneScape comes to much fanfare.
As you enter the battlefield, called the Crater, you will be assigned a target to hunt down and slap into submission. Don’t worry, there's a new system to ensure you are matched with a similar combat skill level so it’s fair. Bear in mind though, it won’t just be you two in there, fighting will be erupting all around you so stay sharp as you meander through the melee.
If you manage to take down the target, you will get all their loot as is PvP custom, as well as emblems that can be exchanged for unique items. You could buy yourself Statius’ Armour, Vesta’s Armour or Zuriel’s robes, but if you are looking for something a little more on the offence side, pick up Morrigan’s Throwing Axe, Statius’ Warhammer amongst a host of other choices.
If you are looking for a bit of an edge on other players, there's a pool of equipment that can be imbued with special enchantments when used in Bounty Hunter combat, such as the Dark Bow, Dragon Mace, Abussal Dagger and more. Worth looking into to get the upper hand.
In other Old School news, it is a momentum time for players, as the implementation of a new skill for the first time in the game’s decade-long history is almost upon us. As voted by the community, the Sailing skill is officially out of the pitching stage and will now enter refinement, before being put in front of the community for the lock-in vote.
Old School Runescape can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
