In a move I can only assume as being a bid to be the first game to do so, Nexon has launched a new Christmas-themed story for their RPG Blue Archive. Waking Santa up early, the Remedial Knights’ are celebrating the season, and two new recruits arrive.

All of Kivotos is enjoying this unreasonable early holiday, however, the merriment will soon turn sour for the Remedial Knights, as they find themselves caught up in a conspiracy involving the Thugs. Throughout the story, you can find yourselves various Elphs and equipment to strengthen your squad, as well as Secret Tech Notes when you complete the story.

Our first new recruit for this update is the Trinity General School Piercing-Striker Serina (Christmas). Her EX skill is perfect for a longer-range encounter, increasing Crit Damage for allies in a circle, excluding herself, and grating them one stack of Holy Night’s Blessing, which increases Piercing Effectiveness. Combined with her normal skill that drops buffs for her allies every 30 seconds, Serina is an excellent support class for a back-heavy team.

Hanae (Christmas) also hails from the same academy, as a Mystic-Special student, whose skills complement Serinas pretty well. She can also give allies stacks of Holy Night’s Blessing with her EX skill and will bestow health regen depending on the number of stacks. These two characters together have the potential to create a very powerful, well-maintained group.
