From July 18th to August 18th, League of Legends Wild Rift will be getting a huge raft of content thanks to the Soul Fighter Event. New fighters, new skins, and even a fun new mode will be debuted to make this a big summer for LoL fans.
Tag Duel will have fighters face off in one-on-one combat, a true test of individual skill. Before the battle, players will select three champions that can be switched between in battle, leading to a plethora of tactics and combos to pull off. Also, an excellent way to try the three new champions.
Nilah arrives with her whip, and abilities that boost allies' healing and shielding, whilst that's not an issue for Vladimir and his copious self-healing skills and burst potential being a menace to any opponent. Finally, for speed freaks, Hecarim and his spectral army will run down any fleeing foe.
Along with the new mode and characters, some old favourites will be getting a tune-up. Janna is getting some general tweaks to be more consistent and user-friendly, and Annie will receive updates to her interactions with Tibbers. The Rune system will be getting overhauled and will have 11 new runes arriving, and support items are getting some reworks.
For better or worse, there are also a few new introductions that will make it easier for the losing team to fight back. The comeback mechanic will give the trailing team bonus rewards when taking out structures, and when an inner turret is taken out, a Poro will spawn in a jungle to give the defending team vision to plan their counter.
Ranked Season 10 is here, with the Glorious Basilisk Jarvan IV skin up for grabs. A new, currently unnamed Rank will be added above Challenger, necessitating a change in stars needed to rank up. Finally, the Legendary Queue will also get a bit of love with new rewards, new ways to see milestones, and general shininess.
League of Legends Wild Rift is available now from the App Store and Google Play.
