Where is the most relaxing place to enjoy a few word puzzles? That’s right, in a volcano of course, and thanks to Thomas K. Young soon we can all kick back with an eruption of tricky fun as you help a small mole collect food and fight baddies in Molecano.

Coming from the mind behind Dadish and Super Fowlst, Molecano follows the plight of Molene, good luck not getting that song stuck in your head, as they explore volcanoes and avoid lava in search of food. A host of meat, veggies and other such delicious delicacies have somehow ended up in the magma, and it’s your job to help our protagonist collect them all.

In a pretty interesting-looking system, you will be given a jumble of letters of which to make words out of, in order to build bridges to guide Molene across. Working in the way of a crossword, you will have to build off your existing words and can intersect your paths to help sate Molenes hunger, or in the instance of a boss battle, find and throw bombs at your foe.

Whilst this may sound fairly simple, it looks devilishly tricky. First of all, your limited number of letters is fixed, so you don’t have a huge pool to work with each level. Second, there are obstacles in the way, so it isn't a case of any word will do, sometimes, you will need a three, and that three will have to have a t as the second letter and be made up of oents. Molene is a very tricky mole to feed.

The game's soundtrack is bound to keep the frustration away, however, with its calm, easy-listening vibes, and if you don’t like moles, how could you not they are strangely cute, you can unlock a host of other critters to control and throw headfirst into the volcano. You monster.
