Fans of the prolific MMORPG Old School RuneScape have a huge range of updates and additions to look forward to off the back of last weekend's Summer Summit. From the lock-in poll for the new Sailing skill opening, to a massive new area, there's enough to make anyone rush to Gielinor.
As you might expect, the Sailing skill is going to bring with it the most extensive area expansion in RuneScape history given the access to the ocean. Players will even be able to customize their ships with a host of facilities used to train this new skill, gaining access to larger vessels. Piracy is always an enticing prospect.
If you don’t have the stomach for sailing, then you can still get your adventuring kicks on land, as Jagex announces Varlamore will be opening its gates soon. Full of skilling activities, quests, huge new bosses, and the introduction of the Hunting Guild, players will be able to take their first steps in these new lands in early 2024.
To get your practice in for these new threats, Deadman Acopalypse will see Gielinor plunged into chaos once more. Starting from the beginning of the game, DA enables PvP in almost all areas and will cause bosses to spawn anywhere in the world. You will need to balance cooperation and collaboration during these breaches. Running from August 25th to September 16th, there will be a prize pool split between the last player standing, those who deal the most damage to bosses during the finale, and those who attain the highest point totals.
If you want a challenge without the PvP threat, then Leagues 4: Trailblazer Reloaded is the best for you. Starting with no XP or items, players will adventure across the land to complete a custom task list and collect powerful relics. The boosted XP will see you able to venture far and wide when this fun little mode comes later this year.
Old School RuneScape is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
